Our Story

Skin you feel good in.

Royal Medical Spa began in 2014 as Royal Lashes Studio, opened in Guelph by Carolyn Thai with one quiet purpose: help every client feel more comfortable in their own skin. Not transformed. Not chasing a filter. Just a little more like themselves.

As clients asked for more, the clinic expanded into medical-grade aesthetics under the supervision of a Nurse Practitioner medical director. The menu now includes neuromodulators, dermal fillers, radiofrequency microneedling, laser, and regenerative therapies. The intent stayed the same: subtle, proportional, yours.

We see men and women from across Guelph, Cambridge, and Kitchener-Waterloo. Still one room. Still small on purpose.

Torri is the face of clinical care at Royal. A Seneca-trained Registered Practical Nurse currently completing her BScN at Nipissing, she brings advanced training in neuromodulators, full-face dermal filler, and IV therapy, paired with a quiet, proportional eye that her clients come back for.

Carolyn founded Royal Lashes Studio in 2014 and grew it into Royal Medical Spa. She's our resident specialist for laser hair removal and Forma RF, trained on InMode's platforms, with thousands of sessions across every skin type. And she's still the one making sure every client feels looked after from the first call to the follow-up.

Ayaan is a dual board-certified Adult and Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with 6+ years in aesthetic medicine. At Royal she provides medical oversight by issuing the directives our aesthetic treatments are performed under, and serves as the clinical resource when a complex case calls for one.

We don't sell packages or push the treatment of the month. Your plan is built around what your skin actually needs — sometimes that's a series, sometimes it's a single session and a check-in next year. We'll tell you when less is more.

Refreshed, not redone.

Our goal isn't to make you look like someone else — it's to make you look like you on a really good day. We treat conservatively, stop short of overdoing, and trust subtlety to do the heavy lifting. The compliments you'll get won't mention us.

Every visit starts with a real conversation — not five rushed minutes between back-to-back bookings. We listen, look at your skin, and answer your questions before anything happens. You'll leave with a plan, not a sales pitch.
